Sweet home May 2008 A home should be both a practical base and a relaxing haven, a space to live, a space to move and a space to be. Clients come to me regularly with their desires to renovate their existing homes, changing them in order to reflect their own personalities and to accommodate their needs without the need to move elsewhere. One of my recent projects saw my team and I change a home in a truly dramatic fashion. We took a standard, pleasant but run-of-the-mill house and fashioned it into a spacious, colourful and evocative setting for the lives of a busy modern family. This month I’ll give you a unique insight into the process of this extensive renovation and how you too can turn the space you have, albeit with a few structural changes here and there, into your dream home. |
