Char Mausum Indian restaurant situated in the former Little Chef just off the A1 at Stannington, the name in Hindi language means Four Seasons decorated in rich chocolate and cream tones, with dark wood tables, giving the restaurant a warm and inviting appearance with a contemporary feel. The menu offers a variety of dishes from many regions of India, chosen with great care to show off the wonderful cooking styles of India, with a special emphasis on fish and game, dishes like Lobster Jalfrazee, Battak Khazana (duck breast in Masala sauce) and Machi Masala Dopiaza (cod marinated with ginger and cooked with onion in a bhuna style sauce). A choice of twenty three house specials and a wide variety of old favourites to choose from, seasonal changing special menus and an excellent choice of wines all adds up to the finest Indian dining experience. Open Monday to Sunday 5.00pm to 11.00pm 7 days a week.
